There are chandeliers that illuminate an interior, and there are those that become inseparable from its architecture. The Phoenix X belongs to the latter.
Defined by an extraordinary composition of intersecting ironwork, this sculptural wrought iron chandelier brings together structural precision and a sense of controlled movement. Slender iron members converge through the center of the fixture, crossing in a carefully balanced arrangement before extending outward to support 24 elevated lights.
The result is a silhouette that appears both intricate and remarkably disciplined. Its considerable scale is expressed through the construction itself rather than excessive ornamentation.
A Distinctive Expression of Iron and Glass
The Phoenix X introduces a considered contrast between the solidity of its ironwork and the transparency of clear glass cylinders.
Each light rises from a metal socket accent, with the glass surrounding the candle-style lamp while allowing its form to remain visible. The repeated combination establishes a measured rhythm around the chandelier’s upper perimeter.
Viewed from different positions within a room, the crossing iron members reveal changing relationships between line, depth, and negative space. What appears expansive from a distance becomes increasingly intricate upon closer examination.
The architecture of the chandelier rewards attention.
Designed for Rooms of Architectural Significance
Measuring 55 inches in diameter and 42 inches in height, the Phoenix X has the scale to occupy substantial residential interiors without relying on a heavy, enclosed frame.
Its open composition allows the surrounding architecture to remain visible through the fixture, making it particularly suitable for great rooms, expansive dining spaces, dramatic entries, and rooms with generous ceiling heights.
Twenty-four candle-style lights provide substantial illumination, while the arrangement preserves the visual clarity of the chandelier’s central ironwork.
Made in the USA. Shaped by Our Own Workshop.
Ashore Lighting manufactures its own lighting in the USA, continuing a third-generation tradition of architectural ironwork.
The Phoenix X reflects a manufacturing approach in which the relationship between every structural element matters. Its intersecting members, elevated light positions, and overall proportions must work together to achieve the intended composition.
Each fixture is made to order and offered in 10 signature finishes, allowing the ironwork to be tailored to the surrounding architectural palette.
Because we manufacture our own lighting, project-specific modifications may also be discussed with our team. This includes adjustments to dimensions, suspension requirements, finishes, and select design details, subject to manufacturing feasibility.
The Phoenix X is an expression of architectural lighting in which the craftsmanship is not hidden within the structure. It is the structure.
