Murry Ball Heritage Wrought Iron Chandelier

The Murry Ball is defined by the relationship between its curved ironwork and its ascending tiers of light. Rather than building the chandelier around a heavily enclosed central body, the design uses open space as part of the composition. Sweeping arms extend outward from the structure, creating a broad silhouette while allowing the individual lines of the ironwork to remain visible.

Its character comes from repetition and proportion. Curved arms, candle platforms, circular details, and the distinctive spherical lower element establish a traditional vocabulary without relying on excessive ornament. As the chandelier increases in size, those same elements are repeated across additional lights and greater diameter, preserving the identity of the design while substantially increasing its architectural presence.

The Murry Ball is particularly expressive in wrought iron because the structure itself remains visible. Connections, curves, suspension elements, and supporting members are not concealed behind a decorative shell; they become part of the fixture’s visual language. A hand-applied finish further defines those forms, emphasizing the depth and movement of the ironwork from different viewing angles.

Optional wax covers can reinforce the chandelier’s traditional candlelit character, while natural alabaster introduces a distinctly different material presence. When illuminated, alabaster adds warmth, translucency, and natural variation against the more disciplined iron framework.
