IN-HOUSE DESIGN TEAM
The Melanie Architectural Wrought Iron Chandelier combines a tall, tapered iron framework with sculptural candle arms and an open circular base. Its slender construction gives the fixture substantial vertical presence while preserving the surrounding architecture. Made to order in the USA by Ashore Lighting, Melanie is available in three sizes with 8, 10, or 12 lights, ten signature finishes, and optional wax covers or natural alabaster shades.
Key Features:
- Tall, Tapered Architectural Framework — Slender iron supports rise from an open circular base, creating a pronounced vertical silhouette without enclosing the candle lights.
- Individually Formed Candle Arms — Restrained curves, tapered candle cups, and wrapped iron details introduce visual movement and distinguish the fixture from conventional ring chandeliers.
- Three Proportioned Lighting Configurations — Available in 28", 36", and 42" diameters with 8, 10, and 12 lights respectively, allowing the composition to scale with the interior.
- Ten Signature Finishes and Cover Options — Standard covers are included, with optional wax covers or natural alabaster shades available in four distinctive stone colors.

Some chandeliers establish their presence through ornamentation. Others achieve it through the discipline of their construction.
The Melanie Architectural Wrought Iron Chandelier belongs to the latter tradition. Its tall, tapered framework rises from an open circular base toward a compact suspension crown, creating a composed architectural silhouette defined by iron, proportion, and light.
Within this framework, individually formed candle arms extend upward at varying positions. Their restrained curves introduce movement against the chandelier's more linear supporting structure, while tapered candle cups and wrapped iron details reveal the character of the metalwork.
The result is a fixture that feels substantial without appearing visually enclosed.
Melanie is particularly suited to interiors where a chandelier must occupy meaningful vertical space while allowing the surrounding architecture to remain visible. Foyers, stair halls, great rooms, and dining spaces can accommodate its expressive proportions, provided appropriate ceiling height and installation clearance are available.
Unlike broad, shallow chandeliers, Melanie emphasizes height as much as diameter. Its open lower ring provides a visual foundation, while the ascending ironwork draws attention toward the suspension point.
Three standard configurations are available. The 28" diameter features eight lights, the 36" diameter features ten lights, and the 42" diameter features twelve lights. The corresponding heights range from 42" to 48".
Choose from ten signature finishes to coordinate the ironwork with surrounding architectural materials. Standard candle covers are included. Wax covers are available as an upgrade, while natural alabaster shades introduce softly diffused illumination and the individual veining of natural stone. Four alabaster colors are available when the alabaster option is selected.
Melanie is made to order in the USA by Ashore Lighting, a third-generation lighting manufacturer.
Because we design and manufacture our own lighting, our in-house team can evaluate custom dimensions, suspension lengths, finish direction, and select modifications for individual architectural projects.
Melanie reflects an enduring principle of iron lighting: the structure need not be concealed when its construction is central to the design.
