The Julian is conceived for rooms where a conventional chandelier would simply disappear. Three circular tiers rise through the composition, distributing 50–60 lights across a substantial architectural framework while preserving open space between each level. The result is impressive in scale without becoming visually dense.

Rather than relying on excessive ornament, the Julian derives its presence from proportion, repetition, and the strength of its iron construction. Circular frames establish the chandelier horizontally while the ascending tiers give it the vertical dimension required for vaulted ceilings, two-story spaces, grand dining rooms, substantial great rooms, and large residential entries.

Each Julian chandelier is made to order in the USA by Ashore Lighting. The iron framework is fabricated and finished as part of our own lighting manufacturing process, allowing us greater control over proportion, material character, finish, and project-specific requirements.

Ten hand-applied signature finishes allow the chandelier to move comfortably between traditional, transitional, rustic, and more restrained architectural interiors. Standard covers are included, while optional wax covers introduce a softer candle-like character. Natural alabaster shades may also be specified for a more material-driven interpretation of the design.

Because we manufacture our own lighting, the Julian can also be considered for custom sizing or other modifications when a project requires dimensions beyond the standard offerings. Our team can work with homeowners, interior designers, architects, and builders to determine appropriate scale for the intended space.

The Julian is not intended to disappear into a room. It is designed to establish one.

Three Tiers Designed for Grand Architectural Volume

Large chandeliers must do more than occupy space; their proportions have to relate convincingly to the architecture around them. The Julian uses three progressively scaled circular tiers to establish both width and vertical presence while leaving deliberate open space throughout the composition. With 50–60 lights and large-diameter configurations, it is particularly suited to vaulted great rooms, formal dining spaces, dramatic entries, and other interiors where ceiling height and room volume call for a fixture of genuine scale. Because Ashore Lighting manufactures its own lighting, custom dimensions may also be considered when the architecture requires something beyond the standard sizes.

The Julian Grand is a large three-tier wrought iron chandelier manufactured by Ashore Lighting in the USA. Designed for grand residential and architectural interiors, it features three circular iron tiers, configurations of 50–60 lights, multiple large-scale sizes, 10 hand-applied finishes, and optional wax covers or natural alabaster shades. Custom sizing may also be available.

Ashore Lighting manufactures the Julian Grand in the USA using its own in-house design and production capabilities. As a third-generation lighting manufacturer, we can control the fixture’s scale, ironwork, finish, and selected customization rather than relying on a third-party imported product.

FAQ

The Julian is intended for interiors with considerable room volume, including vaulted great rooms, two-story entries, large dining rooms, lodge interiors, and other spaces where a smaller fixture would appear underscaled. Ceiling height, room dimensions, furniture placement, and sightlines should all be considered when selecting the appropriate size.

Despite its substantial scale, the Julian retains considerable open space between its circular tiers. This allows the chandelier to establish a strong architectural presence without creating the visual density of a heavily ornamented fixture.

Yes. Because we manufacture our own lighting, custom sizing and certain design modifications may be available. Contact Ashore Lighting before ordering so we can review the room dimensions, ceiling height, installation requirements, and desired proportions.

The Julian may be ordered with standard covers, optional wax covers, or natural alabaster shades where offered. Our alabaster is naturally variable in color, veining, translucency, and pattern, so each finished fixture has its own material character.

Begin with the dimensions and ceiling height of the room rather than diameter alone. For large-scale chandeliers, overall volume and viewing distance are especially important. Ashore Lighting can assist with scale selection when architectural plans, elevations, or room dimensions are available.

Large-Scale Ironwork Fabricated by Hand

The Julian’s scale begins long before the chandelier is assembled. Its circular frames are fabricated as individual iron components, worked and refined before the tiers are joined into their final proportions. For fixtures of this size, maintaining consistent geometry across multiple rings requires deliberate fabrication rather than simply enlarging a smaller production form. Manufacturing our own lighting gives us direct control over that process—and the ability to address custom proportions when the architecture calls for them.
