The Ladco achieves its drama in an unusual way. Instead of relying primarily on extreme width or heavy ornamentation, the design concentrates 39 individual lights within a 36-inch architectural footprint, creating remarkable luminosity, rhythm, and depth.

The two-tier arrangement allows the eye to move vertically through the chandelier. A broad lower level establishes the foundation while the smaller upper ring rises above it, surrounded by additional candle-style lights. Twisted iron suspension members connect the composition and lend subtle hand-worked character to the otherwise disciplined circular forms.

Included wax covers are especially important to the Ladco's identity.
