The SC-808 Sculptural Wrought Iron Candle Wall Sconce is defined by the relationship between its upright candle light and the ironwork that supports it. What first appears to be a traditional single-light sconce reveals a more elaborate composition: a narrow basket of twisting iron beneath the candle cup, a shaped arm that returns toward the wall, and curled scrollwork extending below the decorative backplate.
The openwork basket is especially distinctive. Its individual iron elements turn upward and inward, creating a sense of movement without overwhelming the fixture's vertical line. Above it, a shallow, subtly shaped candle cup carries the single light. Beneath it, the lower scroll gives the composition a deliberate finish rather than allowing the arm to end abruptly.
The wall-mounted portion contributes its own detail. A rectangular mounting plate sits behind a shaped iron element with rope-like edging, introducing texture and visual layering when the fixture is viewed from an angle. This is a sconce intended to be appreciated not only from the front but also in profile.
Measuring 22 inches high, 6 inches wide, and projecting 10½ inches from the wall, the SC-808 has a relatively narrow frontal footprint with pronounced depth. It can provide a considered accent in libraries, entries, stair halls, and traditionally detailed interiors, provided the selected mounting location allows for its projection.
Each fixture is made to order in the USA by Ashore Lighting, a third-generation lighting manufacturer. Choose from ten hand-applied signature finishes to coordinate the ironwork with the surrounding materials. A standard candle cover is included; optional wax covers or natural alabaster shades allow a different expression of the light. When alabaster is selected, four stone color options are offered, and natural veining and translucency will vary from piece to piece.
Because we manufacture our own lighting, requests for adjustments to scale, projection, or other design details can be reviewed for project-specific feasibility.
