Mid-Century Mission Alabaster Vanity Lights
Four architectural vanity lights, one distinctive design language. The Mid-Century Mission collection brings natural alabaster and structured wrought iron together in one-, two-, three-, and four-light configurations, each designed for a different scale of interior. Made to order in the USA by Ashore Lighting, these fixtures are available in ten hand-applied finishes with four natural alabaster color selections.
Four Vanity Configurations, One Architectural Language
The Mid-Century Mission Alabaster Vanity Lights collection explores how a consistent architectural design can adapt to different widths and lighting requirements.
Each fixture pairs geometric wrought iron framing with tapered natural alabaster shades. Squared iron members, defined horizontal and vertical relationships, and circular backplates establish a design language that remains recognizable across all four configurations.
The series progresses from a slender 6-inch one-light fixture to a 33-inch four-light arrangement. Between them, the two-light model measures 15 inches wide, while the three-light model measures 24 inches.
All four configurations share a body height of 12¼ inches and a wall projection of 8¼ inches. This allows the appropriate width and number of lights to be selected without introducing unrelated fixture proportions.
The result is a family of vanity lighting designed for architectural continuity rather than individual decorative statements.
Natural Alabaster: Material, Variation, and Light
Natural alabaster gives these fixtures their distinctive illuminated character. Unlike a uniform manufactured diffuser, each stone shade contains variations in mineral structure, translucency, coloration, and veining.
When illuminated, those characteristics become part of the fixture's visual expression. Some pieces produce a comparatively even glow, while others reveal more pronounced bands, clouds, or tonal movement.
The Mid-Century Mission vanity lights offer four alabaster selections: Amber, White, Amber with Red Veining, and White with Amber Veining.
The shades can be coordinated for similar overall coloration when a project requires multiple fixtures, although exact duplication of natural stone is not possible.

Selecting Vanity Lighting for the Architecture
A successful vanity installation depends on the relationship between the fixture, mirror, cabinetry, wall dimensions, and intended illumination.
The one-light configuration is appropriate for narrow placements or compositions involving multiple individual fixtures. The two-light model introduces a balanced horizontal arrangement, while the three- and four-light configurations provide progressively broader compositions.
Fixture selection should not be based on width alone. The height and projection of the lighting, surrounding architectural clearances, mirror position, and other sources of illumination all contribute to the finished result.
For bathroom installations, the intended location and applicable electrical listing must also be considered. A fixture being UL Listed does not, by itself, establish its suitability for every damp or wet location. Confirm the specific installation requirements with Ashore Lighting and a qualified electrician.
The Vanity Lights Collection provides additional designs for comparison when a project calls for a different architectural form.
Ten Signature Finishes and Coordinated Stone Selections
The wrought iron components are available in ten hand-applied signature finishes. Each finish changes the relationship between the ironwork, illuminated alabaster, and surrounding materials.
Darker treatments emphasize the fixture's geometry and structural definition. Warmer metallic finishes can introduce a softer relationship with natural stone, cabinetry, and other interior elements.
Our Signature Finishes page provides a closer examination of all ten selections. For projects where finish accuracy is particularly important, complimentary finish samples may be requested for evaluation alongside the actual interior materials.
Because these finishes are applied by hand, subtle variations in texture, tone, and depth are expected.
Part of the Mid-Century Mission Lighting Family
The four vanity fixtures belong to a larger architectural lighting collection developed around consistent proportions, material relationships, and restrained ironwork.
The complete Mid-Century Mission Lighting Collection includes coordinating wall sconces and a six-light alabaster chandelier.
For adjoining bedrooms, corridors, living areas, and other interior spaces, the Mid-Century Mission Wall Sconces extend the family's ironwork into four additional wall-mounted compositions.
This relationship allows different areas of an interior to be illuminated according to their individual requirements while preserving a coordinated architectural identity.
Designed and Manufactured by Ashore Lighting
Ashore Lighting is a third-generation American lighting manufacturer with an in-house design team.
The Mid-Century Mission vanity lights are made to order in the USA, allowing our team to review finish selections, natural alabaster characteristics, dimensions, and other project-specific requirements before production.
Because we manufacture our own lighting, we can also evaluate requests for modified proportions, alternate configurations, and coordination among multiple fixtures where technically feasible.
For architects, interior designers, builders, and homeowners, this provides direct access to the manufacturer when standard specifications do not fully resolve the requirements of an interior.

Mid-Century Mission Alabaster Vanity Lighting — Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes are available in the Mid-Century Mission Alabaster Vanity Lights collection? +
The collection includes one-, two-, three-, and four-light configurations measuring 6, 15, 24, and 33 inches wide, respectively. All four designs measure 12¼ inches high and project 8¼ inches from the wall. These shared proportions allow different widths to be specified while maintaining a coordinated appearance.
Are natural alabaster shades included with all four vanity lights? +
Yes. The Mid-Century Mission vanity fixtures are designed around natural alabaster shades. Available stone selections include Amber, White, Amber with Red Veining, and White with Amber Veining. The offered selections should be confirmed on each individual product page.
Can the alabaster shades be coordinated across multiple vanity fixtures? +
Yes. Ashore Lighting can review stone selections for projects involving multiple fixtures. Overall tone, veining character, and translucency may be coordinated, although exact matching cannot be guaranteed because alabaster is a naturally variable material. Selection photographs or advance approvals may be arranged when appropriate.
Are these vanity lights suitable for bathroom installation? +
Bathroom suitability depends on the fixture's specific location rating and the conditions at the proposed installation point. The vanity lights are UL Listed, but that designation alone does not establish a damp- or wet-location rating. Contact Ashore Lighting to confirm the appropriate installation conditions before ordering, and use a qualified electrician for installation.
Can I order coordinating Mid-Century Mission vanity lights and wall sconces? +
Yes. The vanity lights belong to a coordinated family that also includes four wrought iron wall sconces and a six-light alabaster chandelier. The related ironwork, finish selections, and architectural proportions allow different fixture types to be specified throughout connected interiors while maintaining a consistent design language.
Can the width, finish, or configuration of a vanity fixture be customized? +
Ashore Lighting manufactures its own lighting and can review requests for alternate widths, adjusted proportions, coordinated finishes, or other project-specific modifications. Available changes depend on the fixture and technical requirements. Contact our in-house team before ordering to discuss the proposed installation.
